I'm copy-pasting this, so sorry to those who will be reading the same thing in a few places.
No Spoilers, of course (unless you count reading about what I thought before your watch it as spoilerish. In that case, move on).
I'm not sure I can give it a good rating, maybe 3/5 or 3.5/5 at most, but even with that, I can say that I liked it overall. It seems I'm in the minority, though.
Sure the lines were cheesy, acting wasn't great and the scenes were all too convenient. The funny scenes ended up being extended in the way that it stopped being funny already, but as a whole I still liked it.
Why? Coz when I planned to watch Spider-Man 3, I was looking forward to lots of fast-paced web-slinging action, lots of things crashing and going boom, and that's exactly what I got. I totally enjoyed the fight scenes, the first one being my most favorite. ^^; The special effects were AWESOME, everything just flowed seamlessly!
So I guess liking it will really depend on your expectations when you go in. If you're looking forward to a deep movie with excellent characterization and self-discovery, then you'll prolly end up really disappointed. If you're like me and just see the Spidey movies as something quick and fun, then you might be okay with it, too. Maybe if it was a little bit, oh I dunno, funny, then maybe it would have had better feedback.
Oh, and for the record, I fell in love with James Franco in this movie! I'm not sure what's different with him in this movie, but... eeeeeeeeeeeee! *melts*
(Okay, so maybe it's because he's totally melt-worthy when he smiles and being normal and stop being all emo.
)
Btw, the Green Goblin costume? Totally Kyle Rayner inspired.

Not sure what other people expect from movies, but I found it a good two and a half hours of entertainment.

Although it didn't come from Utah... :smile: What did you think about it?
