Full Version: The Chess Comic Now Online!!!

I have just posted the very first strip in my new web comic, the subtly named: The Chess Comic. My goal with the comic is to take the information I have taught in the beginner and intermediate chess camps I have taught in the past and pass that on to my readers using comics.

I have never done anything like this before. I was going to partner up with an excellent local cartoonist, but it didn’t work out so I am doing all of the writing and art chores myself. I am learning a lot, but that is because I have a lot to learn. I have redrawn this one strip a few times, but that is good, because I am learning more and more all the time.

I have a few strips ready to publish and few more in the rough stages, and many more plotted and scribbled. There is so much to cover, so there is little chance of running out of ideas any time soon.

The blog I have set up is not what I really want, but I am having trouble getting Comicpress set up and since my goal was to have this up and running by August, I had to do what I could. It looks pretty good, actually, but it does not have the functions it should have for a good webcomic page (archive buttons, previous comic buttons, etc). Hopefully I can get that going and transfer it over soon.

I hope you like it, but I would like to hear from you either way (constructive criticism is welcome and encouraged).
